Recommended Dosage:
10 to 40 drops 3 times per day.
Medicinal Use*: Mugwort has mainly been used as a bitter tonic to increase
appetite, stimulate gastric secretion, and
improve digestion. It has also been employed as
a vermifuge to expel pinworms and round-worms,
particularly in children. Occasionally used as a
nerve tonic and sedative, it is also known to be
very useful in cases of dyspepsia and
flatulence. Mugwort has been recommended in
cases of motion sickness and sleepwalking.
Externally it has been applied to bruises,
sores, sprains, bumps, corns, and in cases of
hydrocephalus (increase of liquid in the brain.
Also used to strengthen brain function.
